SUM GRID — DAILY PUZZLE

MEDIUM DIFFICULTY

Today's SUM GRID is a free daily brain teaser in your browser: a fresh grid of numbers and target sums to reconcile by crossing cells out, with no app and no sign-up.

SUM GRID is a free daily number-logic puzzle in the spirit of Kakuro and KenKen: cross out numbers so every row and column hits its target sum.

HOW TO PLAY

  1. SUM GRID deals a grid of numbers with a target sum on every row and column.
  2. Tap a cell to cross it out, tap again to bring it back, and a third time to lock it — a padlock marks a number you have worked out belongs in the answer. Crossed-out numbers no longer count; locked ones still do.
  3. Each header shows its target and your current total — it turns green when that line adds up.
  4. Hover a header to see how far off that line is: -35 means 35 more still to find, +35 means 35 too many.
  5. Clear every line to green to complete the puzzle. There is exactly one working set of keepers.
  6. Right-click a number to mark it — five colours, and a sixth right-click clears it. Your marks are shared with everyone in a co-op session.
  7. Middle-click a number to drop its colour outright, without cycling through the rest of them.
  8. Scroll over a number to step its colour up and down instead of cycling, and the board holds still while you do.
  9. Hover a marked number to add up the numbers of that colour in its row and column. Mark a candidate combination, hover any of its numbers, and read the total.
